Jordanian media personality and actress Ru’a Al-Saban, who resides in the United Arab Emirates, officially announced her separation from her husband, Saudi media figure and poet Hamoud Al-Faiz. This move put an end to the controversy that had surfaced over the past months regarding the nature of their relationship, which had been fueled by her choice to remain silent and refrain from commenting on the rumors surrounding them—particularly after she appeared alone on multiple occasions without her husband.
Al-Saban shared details of the separation in a video clip, explaining that she deliberately avoided discussing the matter earlier out of respect for the official procedures, which took time to complete. She emphasized that she did not wish to make any statements until the separation became official.
“It’s not a sin”
Ru’a Al-Saban stated that she had received numerous questions from her audience in recent months about the truth of her separation, but she preferred to delay her response until the matter acquired an official status. She clarified that such procedures require time, adding: “I chose to speak about the separation only when it became official. This is not a sin, nor is it forbidden; rather, it is God’s law and one of the solutions He has provided for couples.”
She continued: “The time has come to answer your question, out of concern for your sister Ru’a, not out of curiosity... Yes, I am separated. You have accompanied me through much of my life, starting from my publicly announced marriage, and now I am separated. Praise be to God in all circumstances.”
Al-Saban did not disclose the reasons that led to the separation, affirming her acceptance of what had happened and praying to God for guidance in the next phase of her life.

News of Ru’a Al-Saban and Hamoud Al-Faiz’s separation had resurfaced recently after followers noticed her appearing at several public events without her husband. Additionally, messages and posts circulated on social media platforms, which some interpreted as carrying personal implications, opening the door to speculation about the end of their relationship. Despite the growing discussions at the time, both parties remained silent and issued no comments.

Roua Al-Sabban married Saudi media personality and poet Hamoud Al-Faiz in 2018, following a courtship that began within media circles. Their friendship and professional camaraderie gradually evolved into a formal relationship, culminating in marriage. The couple has two children, Sheikha and Sultan. Roua Al-Sabban has spoken in multiple interviews about the nature of their relationship, emphasizing that her husband has always been her primary advisor on many matters. In previous television interviews, she revealed details about their first meeting, explaining that she regularly encountered him at media events. He was a close friend and colleague whom she consulted on all matters, whether regarding hosting guests or managing programs. Over time, they discussed marriage, leading him to propose and their subsequent wedding a year later.
