Cristiano Ronaldo Enters the World of Cinema

Portugal national team star and Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has entered the world of cinema by producing a large-scale drama series about the world of football. He will not limit himself to the role of executive producer; he will also appear within the storyline.

The British newspaper The Sun reported that the former Manchester United striker and Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer will serve as executive producer of the series, which revolves around a fictional football agent. The role will be portrayed by British actor Damian Lewis, known for his performances in the series Homeland and Billions.

The same source confirmed that filming has already begun, with Damian Lewis spotted at Barnet FC’s stadium in northwest London.

The Sun further revealed that 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo will appear in the series alongside his role as executive producer, in an effort to emulate Netflix’s approach to dramatic production.

Citing a television source, the outlet noted that 48-year-old French star Thierry Henry will also participate in the project, titled Day 1s.

A source for the British newspaper said the series is likely to spark intense competition among streaming platforms for broadcasting rights.

He added: “The high-profile names involved in the project, both behind and in front of the camera, make it a prestigious endeavor, even though Ronaldo’s entry into the drama world is considered a surprising move.”

The series centers on a prominent football agent named Stanley Dalton, portrayed by 55-year-old Damian Lewis.
