GCC Secretary-General Condemns Drone Attack on Saudi Arabia: A Dangerous Escalation and Direct Threat to the Region's Security and Stability

Jassim Al-Bedaiwi, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on Monday expressed his condemnation and outrage at the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by drones launched by Iran-backed militias in Iraq.

In a statement, Al-Bedaiwi said these attacks constitute a dangerous escalation, a blatant violation of international law, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

He reaffirmed the GCC’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
