'Ministry of Information Technology' Revives 'Paperless Government' in 'Accounting'

The Court of Accounts has returned the documents for Contract Project No. (67) concerning the digital transformation of government operations and services, known as the “Paperless Government,” to the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), at a cost of 9.9 million dinars. Al-Siyasa learned that the agency re-submitted the project documents to the Court last Wednesday to apply pre-audit control procedures, conduct auditing, and issue an opinion to begin implementing the contract’s provisions, which the agency attaches great importance to in order to achieve one of the key programs of the development plan aimed at developing an integrated and transparent government.

The digital transformation of government operations and services constitutes one of the project’s core objectives. It aims to digitize all transactions of government entities, thereby ending the cycle of documentation and paper-based processes. This enhances the efficiency of government services through an advanced, secure, and scalable digital infrastructure, while also increasing system reliability and facilitating integration with other digital platforms.
