Artist Mansour Al-Balushi delivers an exceptional performance in the new television series “Qanun Abdul Qader” (Abdul Qader’s Law), which stands out as a distinctive dramatic work carrying a humanistic message that draws attention to the depth of its narrative and the nature of its production, with Al-Balushi himself behind its concept. Al-Balushi bets on the human dimension of the work, particularly because he naturally gravitates toward portraying this aspect of the character, who carries a beautiful message for the audience, which viewers will see in “Marzouq” if the series is aired.
Regarding the details of the series’ production and the collective spirit that prevailed among the team during preparation, he clarified, saying: “Of course, it was written by author Abdullah Hafith, and of course, director Hussain Dashti provided his directorial vision. This work was a collective workshop involving the actors, the author, and the director; we all worked together to deliver this project.”
“Marzouq”
As for the character he portrays in the series, “Marzouq,” and the visible change represented by vitiligo, which the audience noticed in the first images of the series, Al-Balushi commented: “God willing, I hope the role I am presenting to you earns your approval. We are presenting a character; as you saw in the images, he has vitiligo, but you will learn the secret behind this vitiligo through the story and why the character Marzouq has it. It is not just because we wanted to appear different... No, it serves a purpose and has a significant connection to Marzouq’s personality, and we will address the topic without detachment... Do not rush!”
“Dawood Hussein”
Regarding the participation of artist Dawood Hussein and the substantial support he provided to the younger generation, Mansour Al-Balushi stated: “First, Dawood is my uncle. But regardless of the family ties that connect us, we sat together more than a year ago specifically about this project. I explained the idea to him, and he immediately agreed. He became even more committed to the idea when he learned that the production would be a partnership with the young actor Talal Basim. Literally, he said: ‘I support you as young people; you are my eyes, and whatever you desire.’”
“Positive Energy”
He added: “Dealing with artist Dawood Hussein is different and refreshing, because he is one of those personalities who creates smiles, love, and sweet, positive energy on set. This reflects on every actor and everyone he interacts with or stands before. On the filming location, he is not merely an actor who arrives to perform his role and then leaves; rather, the opposite happens. He waits at the set, guides with a father’s tenderness, and gives instructions from a perspective of experience. He advises all of us. He is the last to leave the set, follows the editing process, and attends the editing sessions... Without exaggeration, he means a great deal to us. The theme song will be sung by singer Khaled Al-Muzafar, and there will be a second song within the series sung by a star who has been very popular in recent times and has achieved great success across the entire Arab world.”

It is worth noting that the series “Qanun Abdul Qader” is a short series consisting of 10 episodes, directed by Hussain Dashti, written by Abdullah Hafith, and conceived by Mansour Al-Balushi. It is produced by the artistic group of Mansour Al-Balushi and Talal Basim. It stars a group of artists, including Dawood Hussein, Zainab Bahman, Noura Faisal, Mansour Al-Balushi, Farah Al-Hadi, Aqeel Al-Raeesi, Fahd Basim, Talal Basim, and Mona Hussein.
The series consists of a collection of stories inspired by reality, discussing human and social issues that affect various segments of Kuwaiti society.
