'Zain' supports talents and paves the way for youth leadership
Kuwait officials honored with “Loyak” the winners of the first cohort of the “Be” entrepreneurship program
Zain Kuwait announced its strategic partnership with “Loyak” at the conclusion of the first cohort of the “Be” social entrepreneurship program in its eleventh season, which saw the participation of 34 high school students in developing solutions to social and environmental challenges. The company continues its mission to prepare and empower future entrepreneurs to lead the knowledge economy.
The program’s journey spanned two weeks, with training activities held at the Loyak building (Aisha School), culminating in a closing ceremony at the Shadi Al-Khalij Theater. Feisal Al-Duwais, Head of Community Partnerships and Youth Empowerment at Zain Kuwait, participated in honoring the winning students and reviewing their projects. Participants then moved to The Avenues Mall to present their projects and share their experiences with the public.

“Be” is among the most prominent youth initiatives offered by Loyak in partnership with Babson College, one of the world’s leading academic institutions in management and entrepreneurship. The program targets students aged 12 to 16 through an educational and interactive journey that combines knowledge with practical application.
The program included a series of interactive workshops led by experts and specialists in innovation and entrepreneurship, alongside practical training on the foundations of social entrepreneurship and prototyping. It also provided continuous mentoring for teams and training on confident and effective public speaking and idea presentation before judging panels.
During the journey, participants worked in teams to transform their interests in surrounding issues into innovative entrepreneurial projects addressing real environmental and social challenges. This led to the development of practical solutions and prototypes that reflected the skills they acquired in critical thinking, innovation, teamwork, problem-solving, and effective presentation.
Zain’s support for the program extends its strategic partnership with Loyak, now in its 23rd year, which has yielded a range of high-quality programs and initiatives in education, youth empowerment, and social entrepreneurship over more than two decades, contributing to the empowerment of thousands of young students.
This support also aligns with Zain’s sustainability strategy, which prioritizes education, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship as key community objectives. The strategy aims to provide national talents with the space to discover their potential, develop their skills, and turn their ideas into solutions with tangible impact, thereby stimulating the innovation ecosystem and building a national knowledge- and creativity-based economy.
