School Safety Initiative... and Strengthening the Educational Environment
The Ministry of Education is currently undertaking clear and tangible efforts to develop the educational system and enhance administrative efficiency, alongside taking serious steps to address phenomena that impact the quality of education, such as cheating in exams, and raising the level of discipline within schools.
Among the notable initiatives reflecting a forward-looking vision and a deep understanding of the challenges facing our youth is the Minister of Education’s sponsorship of the School Security initiative, in collaboration with the Retired Officers Association. This underscores the fact that the success of the educational process is not limited to curricula and classrooms alone, but begins with providing a safe and stable educational environment where students feel secure, at ease, and a sense of belonging.
Today, the Ministry of Education manages approximately 900 schools and serves around 422,000 students. This number of schools and students reflects the immense responsibility and the multiple daily challenges faced by school administrations.

These challenges begin with addressing negative behaviors, violence, and bullying, and most importantly, protecting students from threats related to drugs, in addition to their efforts to safeguard the school environment in general.
