Kazma departs for Izmit camp... Al-Arabi loses in first friendly

Al-Qadsiah’s coach, “The General” Mohammed Ibrahim, joined the team delegation yesterday at their training camp, which began last Thursday in Yalova, Turkey.

Assistant coaches Saleh Al-Sheikh and Serbian Goran Matkovic led Al-Qadsiah’s (“The Yellows”) training sessions in recent days.

Al-Qadsiah is scheduled to play several friendly matches during the camp, which runs until August 20, as they prepare for the new season that kicks off with the Premier League on the 25th of the same month. The club is also preparing to participate in the AFC Challenge League.

Al-Qadsiah continues to review the resumes of several professionals to complete their foreign player roster, after strengthening their squad with three players: Omani Abdulrahman Al-Mashfari, Moroccan Hamza Khaba, and Nigerian Gabriel Urok.

Khaba joined the team delegation yesterday morning, participating in group training sessions.

“First Friendly”

Al-Arabi lost their first friendly match against Turkish team Erzurumspor 1-3, played at the team’s camp in Turkey last Thursday.

Al-Arabi took the lead through returnee from injury Jumaa Aboud, before conceding three goals.

Al-Arabi’s Croatian coach, Goran Sablic, who is managing his first matches with “The Greens,” insisted on testing the number of players to assess everyone’s readiness.

Al-Arabi is scheduled to play more friendly matches during their camp in Turkey before departing in early August for India. They will face Indian team East Bengal in Kolkata on August 12 in the second round of the AFC Champions League qualifiers. The club, holder of the Crown Prince Cup and runner-up in the Premier League, is also preparing for the start of the league campaign scheduled for the 25th.

The Kazma delegation departs today for their training camp in Izmit, Turkey, for a training session lasting until August 14, featuring four friendly matches.

Kazma is preparing to participate in the Premier League, scheduled to start on August 25, as well as in the Gulf Club Champions Cup.

On another note, the technical staff led by Croatian coach Dragan Tadic continues to review resumes of foreign players to complete their professional roster. The squad currently includes four foreigners, after renewing the contracts of Yemeni Nasser Mohammed and Algerian Idriss Chaabi. They also signed Brazilian Patrick Robson and Senegalese Amath Ndiaw. Additionally, they reinforced their squad with players Fahad Al-Hajri and Ahmed Al-Zanki, and renewed contracts with Nasser Al-Lafi and Mohammed Antar.

Meanwhile, Al-Kuwait began their training yesterday in the British capital, London, in two sessions (morning and evening), under the leadership of Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos.

“The Whites” are scheduled to play several friendly matches before returning in mid-August, in preparation for defending their Premier League title, which starts on August 25. Al-Kuwait is also preparing to participate in the second round of the AFC Champions League.
