SpaceX Launches 20 Third-Generation Starlink Satellites

To Space for the First Time Aboard “Starship”

US company SpaceX announced on Friday night the launch of 20 Starlink V3 satellites into space for the first time aboard the Starship vehicle, in a test aimed at expanding the network’s capabilities and enhancing internet speeds for users.

In a statement, the company said the flight launched from Texas, US, and aims to complete objectives similar to those of the previous flight test, which tested the Starship and Super Heavy Block 3 vehicles, along with carrying the new generation of Starlink satellites for the first time.

It added that launching the new satellites would expand the network’s capacity and significantly increase user speeds.

The company confirmed on the X platform that the deployment of the 20 satellites was complete, noting that the test would provide important data in preparation for expanding the Starlink constellation.

The previous flight launched on May 22 from a facility in Texas, as part of the twelfth flight test of the vehicle.
