Jordan shoots down 7 Iranian missiles and 6 drones targeting its territory
The Jordanian News Agency, Petra, reported that the Jordanian Armed Forces shot down seven missiles and six drones on Friday, which were launched from Iran and targeted the Kingdom’s territory.
The agency quoted a senior military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army – stating that air defense systems and Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft intercepted and shot down the missiles and drones, with no reported human casualties or material damage.
The source added that Royal Engineers teams moved to the sites where debris fell and handled them in accordance with established technical and security procedures.
He emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the Kingdom’s airspace and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness to respond to any threat targeting Jordan’s security and the safety of its citizens.
