U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today that its forces completed their thirteenth consecutive night of strikes against Iran.

CENTCOM stated that the strikes targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites, and naval capabilities, with the aim of reducing the threat Iran poses to civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The command confirmed that the international waterway remains open to navigation, despite recent attacks launched by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, noting that commercial ships continue to transit the strait freely with U.S. military support.

It added that more than 50,000 U.S. soldiers are currently operating across the Middle East region.

Earlier today, CENTCOM announced that U.S. forces had begun a new round of strikes against Iranian military targets, marking the thirteenth consecutive night of operations.

CENTCOM stated that the strikes aim to hold Iran accountable and mitigate the threats posed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping navigation.

In response, Iranian media reported hearing the sound of at least seven explosions in Ahvaz, and an explosion on the southern coast of Iran’s Qeshm Island. Iranian television announced hearing an explosion west of Bandar Abbas in the south of the country, and another in the vicinity of Omidiyeh, southeast of Ahvaz.
