'Retired Officers' Expose 'Affairs' for Launching the 'National Project for Community Protection'

Aisha Al-Buainain, Director of the Non-Governmental Associations Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs, received a delegation from the Retired Officers Association, led by Major General (Retd.) Faisal Al-Jazzaf, to discuss cooperation mechanisms regarding the “National Project for Community Protection,” which the Association had submitted to the Ministry.
The Association’s delegation included Major General (Retd.) Engineer Tariq Al-Dosari, Major General (Retd.) Badr Al-Ghudhuri, and Major General (Retd.) Dr. Hussein bin Tafela Al-Ajmi. From the Ministry’s side, the meeting was attended by Badr Bounashi and Aliya Al-Awn.

The meeting discussed the objectives of the project, which requires the Ministry’s patronage and supervision of its implementation in partnership with the Association, thereby enhancing integration among state institutions in consolidating community security and preventing negative phenomena.
The Association’s delegation emphasized that the project represents a comprehensive national vision that transcends the concept of traditional awareness campaigns, by building a sustainable system that enhances values, community prevention, and protects the family, children, and youth through scientific and training programs, institutional partnerships, specialized studies, and impact measurement mechanisms, ensuring tangible results.
For her part, Al-Buainain praised the initiative, affirming that protecting society is a shared responsibility for which we strive today to safeguard the future, and stressing the necessity of cooperation and activating coordination mechanisms to support national projects aimed at strengthening social cohesion and consolidating a culture of prevention and community responsibility.
Both sides affirmed that the project is founded on the conviction that building a secure society begins with prevention, enhancing awareness, and developing human capital, as well as integrating the efforts of state institutions and civil society, which are considered the fundamental pillars for sustaining security and stability.
