Defense: We intercepted hostile ballistic missiles and drones since dawn today

The baseless Iranian aggression targeted facilities belonging to the Electricity Authority, resulting in fires and severe damage to several of its installations.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, announced that the Armed Forces had detected hostile ballistic missiles and drones within Kuwaiti airspace since dawn today, and that they were intercepted and neutralized.

He added that the baseless Iranian aggression continues to target civilian and vital facilities in the country. The attacks have hit installations belonging to the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, leading to fires and severe damage to several of its vital facilities and installations.

The Armed Forces reiterated their continued commitment to carrying out their duties and responsibilities with high efficiency, within the framework of constant readiness and perpetual preparedness. They are taking all necessary measures to protect the nation’s sovereignty and safeguard its security and stability, in coordination with the relevant authorities, in order to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
