Heartbreaking scenes

The Nation, then the Nation, then the Citizen

One of the painful scenes is to see elderly men and women, known for their compassion, mercy, and tenderness, going to hospitals to treat themselves, accompanied by their domestic helpers.

In contrast, you see their children, displaying the same mercy and compassion they inherited from their parents, but directing it toward their pets when accompanying them for veterinary care. This sight unfortunately illustrates that the importance of animals to the children surpasses that of their parents. Therefore, I ask the Ministries of Health and Interior: Is it so difficult for a hospital receptionist to ask elderly patients whether they have children or not?

If the answer is yes, the Ministry of Interior should be notified to summon the children, urging them to respect and care for their parents, and imposing appropriate penalties deemed suitable by the ministry to address this sad situation.

Triviality

I watched on one of the media platforms a dialogue between a caller and four well-known program hosts. The caller spoke about the differences in pronunciation of names and things between the poor and the rich, while the panelists joined in laughter. It should be noted that what the caller said was incorrect and did not match the standard expected for appearing on screen, as if meaningful and beneficial topics, as well as entertaining stories that viewers appreciate, had run out, leading us to such a low level of discourse.

Campaign

Why doesn’t the government organize a campaign against beggars in all areas of Kuwait, including its mosques and markets, to deport them to their home countries, while identifying and punishing those who brought them into the country, to prevent the recurrence of this uncivilized spectacle involving large numbers of individuals whose only “work” is begging, in a country like Kuwait?

Forget the testimony of faith at the moment of death.

Who cheapens the value of stops, salt, and provisions,

Will be humiliated and disgraced, just as he who builds his own walls [of arrogance] will be.”

O God, protect Kuwait, its people, and its leadership from all evil and harm.
