CENTCOM: Two US soldiers killed, third missing during response to Iranian attacks in Jordan

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the deaths of two U.S. service members in Jordan while carrying out their duties, during a response by CENTCOM forces and partner forces to Iranian attacks involving ballistic missiles and drones.
CENTCOM added in a press statement that one service member remains missing.
It clarified that four U.S. service members were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals, from which they were later discharged, while other personnel who underwent medical examinations after sustaining minor injuries returned to duty.
U.S. Central Command affirmed that it would not release any additional information, including the identities of the deceased service members, out of respect for their families’ privacy, until 24 hours had passed since notifying their next of kin.
