Minister of Health: The health system is ready to handle developments, and services continue without interruption

Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi confirmed today, Saturday, the readiness of the health system, including hospitals, primary healthcare centers, and health facilities, to handle the developments of the current situation, as they continue to provide their services normally. He emphasized the continued availability of medicines, medical supplies, and strategic reserves, which reinforces the health system’s capacity to continue fulfilling its mission efficiently and effectively.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Health noted that this came during Minister Al-Awadi’s chairing of an expanded meeting at the Crisis Center in the Ministry’s General Secretariat, attended by Deputy Minister Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, ministry leadership, heads of vital departments, and members of the Central Emergency Committee. The meeting aimed to monitor the latest developments in the current situation and assess the readiness of the health system across various sectors.

The ministry added that Minister Al-Awadi stressed the importance of proactive readiness, continuous field monitoring, and enhanced coordination among all ministry sectors, thereby improving performance efficiency and ensuring swift responses to any developments in accordance with approved national plans.

The ministry clarified that the meeting discussed emergency response plans, coordination mechanisms among ministry sectors, enhancing response speed, raising operational readiness levels, and continuously reviewing precautionary measures to keep pace with evolving circumstances and ensure the safety of patients and the uninterrupted continuity of health services.
