The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, announced on Friday that the Armed Forces had detected hostile ballistic missiles and drones within Kuwaiti airspace since dawn, and they were intercepted and dealt with.

He added that the reprehensible Iranian aggression resulted in the targeting of several Kuwaiti Army facilities and camps by hostile drones, leading to injuries among several members of the Kuwaiti Army Force while carrying out their duties. The injured received necessary medical care and treatment, and their health condition is stable.

Several vital and civilian facilities were also targeted, including one of the power and water desalination stations, which caused a fire and damage to several of the station’s installations and power generation units. Fragments also fell in several locations across the country, causing material damage, with no human casualties reported.

The Armed Forces reaffirmed their continued execution of their duties and responsibilities with high efficiency, within the framework of constant readiness and preparedness, and taking all necessary measures to protect the nation’s sovereignty and safeguard its security and stability, in coordination with competent authorities, to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
