Minister of Justice to Law Graduates: Uphold Honesty, Integrity, and Trustworthiness

The law is not merely text to be memorized, but a behavior to be practiced and a principle translated into reality.

Kuwait is entering an exceptional phase that requires its sons and daughters to possess awareness and responsibility.

Graduates are an essential part of developing the legislative system and building a more just and stable future.

Minister of Justice, Advisor Nasser Al-Sameet, urged graduates of the College of Law at Kuwait University on Friday to adhere to honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness in every position they hold, emphasizing that the law is not just provisions to be memorized, but a conduct to be practiced and a principle translated into reality.

Advisor Al-Sameet stated in his speech during the graduation ceremony for students of the College of Law at Kuwait University for the academic year 2025-2026, under his patronage and attendance, that Kuwait is today entering an exceptional phase requiring its sons and daughters to have awareness and responsibility.

He added that the state seeks in this phase to develop and update its legislative system to keep pace with changes and enhance the efficiency of its institutions, noting, "You are an essential part of this phase, given your knowledge, ambition, and ability to contribute to building a more just and stable future."

Addressing the students, he said, "Your graduation today is not merely the end of an academic stage, but the beginning of a new path with multiple options and trajectories. Some of you will one day preside over the bench of justice, some will carry the message of the legal profession, some will pursue higher studies, and some may find themselves not directly linked to law, but your legal knowledge will remain the distinguishing mark that sets you apart and grants you the ability to think correctly and make sound decisions."

He expressed congratulations and blessings to the graduating students on their graduation from the College of Law, after a journey filled with diligence and effort, extending his thanks and appreciation to all faculty members for their efforts and contributions in educating and qualifying students, as well as to parents for the genuine support they provided to their sons and daughters until they reached this bright moment.

He prayed to God Almighty to grant them success and prosperity in their academic and professional lives, to make success their companion on the path, and to protect Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of the State, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, and the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security and stability.
