“Nur wa Falah”: The Premier Program in Support of Quran Memorization and Reflection
In a move aimed at formulating a comprehensive educational vision for women and girls, the Women’s Work Secretariat of Namaa Charity Association launched the “Rushd” project, designed to serve as a specialized platform for strengthening faith, instilling values, and developing skills that empower women to remain steadfast, grow, and excel in their communities.
The project kicked off its journey with the launch of the “Nur wa Falah” Quranic retreat as its flagship program, offering participants an exceptional experience that integrates memorization, reflection, and spiritual purification within an interactive and motivating environment.
In this regard, Janan Al-Qattan, a member of the Women’s Work Secretariat, emphasized that the “Rushd” project embodies an educational vision aimed at building the personality of the Muslim woman on a balanced foundation that combines deep faith, sound methodology, and practical skills, thereby positively impacting the family and society as a whole.
Regarding the retreat, Al-Qattan explained that “Nur wa Falah” provides participants with a spiritual journey during which they renew their connection with the Book of Allah amidst an atmosphere of tranquility and reflection. She noted that the program goes beyond the traditional concept of mere memorization.
She added: “The program equips participants with practical tools and specialized skills that aid in retaining memorization, through mental links and educational methods that make the memorization journey more solid, alongside reflective sessions that open broader horizons for understanding the verses and internalizing their meanings in daily life.”
Al-Qattan clarified that the retreat gains additional significance by hosting a distinguished group of scholars and specialists, including Sheikh Mohammed Al-Ali and Sheikhah Hanaa Al-Meer, thereby enriching participants’ experience with expertise and sound guidance in their engagement with the Quran.

Al-Qattan concluded her statement by inviting interested women to register and seize this spiritual opportunity, expressing her hope that the “Rushd” project will leave a lasting impact, firmly embedding the values of the Holy Quran as behavior and practice in the lives of its participants.
