AUM contributes 2 million dinars to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund

Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development: Building on the Established Social and National Responsibility of the University

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Development announced that the American University of the Middle East (AUM) has contributed 2 million Kuwaiti dinars to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, launched by the Fund on July 5 of this year. The initiative aims to strengthen national preparedness and enhance Kuwait’s capacity to confront challenges and exceptional circumstances.

In a press statement, the Fund stated that “the contribution stems from the firm social and national responsibility of the American University of the Middle East, and its persistent commitment to supporting government efforts aimed at strengthening national preparedness to face crises, reflecting the University’s belief in the pivotal role of development initiatives in safeguarding the nation’s assets and supporting its stability.”

The establishment of the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund comes within the framework of an initiative proposed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Development and approved by the esteemed Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund will manage the fund and exercise full oversight of its operations, with the goal of creating institutional resilience capable of responding immediately to emerging emergencies through a comprehensive national vision.
