Ahmed Al-Nasser Honors Outgoing Omani Ambassador: His Efforts Strengthened Ties Between the Two Countries
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, honored the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Kuwait, Dr. Saleh bin Amer Al-Kharousi, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure in the country. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials, diplomats, and staff of the Omani Embassy in Kuwait.
Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Nasser praised the efforts undertaken by Ambassador Al-Kharousi throughout his tenure, affirming that they contributed to supporting and consolidating fraternal relations and enhancing joint cooperation between Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman. He wished him continued success and achievement in his future career.
For his part, Ambassador Dr. Saleh bin Amer Al-Kharousi expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed for this kind gesture, emphasizing that it reflects the depth of the fraternal relations uniting the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
In a statement to journalists, Al-Kharousi said that this reception, attended by a number of current and former officials and diplomats, was a source of pride and appreciation. He noted that the honor bestowed by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nasser’s diwan was “a kind gesture not surprising from him.”
He affirmed that his period in Kuwait witnessed many achievements that contributed to strengthening bilateral relations, foremost among them the exchange of visits at the summit level, particularly the state visit made by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to Kuwait and his meeting with his brother, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This contributed to consolidating the strong fraternal relations between the two countries.
Al-Kharousi expressed his hope that relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Kuwait would witness further progress and prosperity, and that God would perpetuate the blessings of security and stability upon both countries, thereby enhancing the trajectory of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The Omani Ambassador once again thanked Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser, affirming that his memories in Kuwait would remain deeply ingrained. He said, “I am returning to my country, but Kuwait will remain in my heart; I will never forget Kuwait.” The honor ceremony reflected the high esteem in which Ambassador Al-Kharousi is held, as well as the notable development in bilateral relations between the two countries during his tenure.
