Love

A woman asked a wise man: “What is love, sir?”

He replied: “In the past, love was a man of sacrifice; today, it is a man of amusement.”

Another woman asked him: “And what about friends?”

The insightful man answered: “In the past, you would find friends in every hardship; today, in every hardship, you regret the loss of a friend.”

She asked him again: “And what about relatives?”

He said to her: “In the past, they were a support you could rely on when needed; today, they are marked by envy and disrespect, and we must place our trust in God.”

This world is a day for you and a day against you…

And tomorrow brings another day.
