Electricity Youth... and Weather

It is striking that, amid these conditions, especially around midday, three young Kuwaiti men knock on the door and request permission to cut off the electricity supply to the house, in order to replace the old electricity meter with a new electronic smart meter.

With simplicity and swift execution, and drawing on their engineering expertise, they completed the task within 20 minutes, restoring the electricity supply safely. At this point, I wish to express my appreciation for this accomplishment, carried out by young Kuwaiti hands. Their remarkable national role warms my heart. Amid these hot conditions, they traverse all areas of Kuwait, particularly those scheduled for the electricity meter replacement program, performing their work with precision, care, and exceptional speed. This is an achievement that should be formally recognized by the officials at the Ministry of Electricity and Water, headed by Engineer Dr. Sabih Al-Makhzoum, as well as by all engineers across the ministry’s various sectors. We pray that God guides our young workers in all state institutions and sectors, for they are the capable arms upon which the country relies. Therefore, we must encourage them, praise them, and extend our full appreciation and respect. May God enable them to serve and elevate Kuwait and its people.

My greetings to the engineers of the Ministry of Electricity and Water (Al-Faraj, Al-Balushi, and Al-Nouri) whom I met and rejoiced to see a few days ago as they replaced our old meter with the new one. Truly, this is a magnificent act that brings joy to the heart and soul. They deserve my greetings, appreciation, and respect. May God grant them success in their work, knowledge, family life, and professional endeavors. Sincere greetings to all.
