Scars Invisible to the Eye
Not every wound is visible, nor every pain audible. There are scars that dwell in hearts, hidden by smiles and concealed by dignity, yet they continue to bleed in silence that betrays no suffering. Their traces heal only by the mercy and justice of God.
How many effects do humans leave behind, unaware of their weight!
A fleeting word spoken insincerely is believed, planting in a pure heart a false hope extinguished only by abandonment. A promise made surreptitiously in a moment of emotion, then broken carelessly, leaving behind a frustrated soul that has lost its trust in commitments and in people. A deceptive smile opens the door of hope, then suddenly closes, causing the soul to fall into the belief that it was not enough.
God will undoubtedly question us about all of this.
He will question us about the word that came out insincerely, yet struck a heart sincerely. He will question us about the heart that became afraid to approach people because of you, having learned from you that safety is a lie and promises are mirages.
He will question us about the tears shed in secret, about the nights prolonged by insomnia, about the soul that burned with longing only to be extinguished by force.
Indeed, God does not overlook the pains of hearts, nor the anguish of souls wronged under the guise of affection and the mask of emotion. Every abandonment is recorded in a ledger that can only be erased by sincere repentance, and every broken promise will be presented to Him who does not wrong even the weight of an atom.
So, you who walk through life believing that days will cover everything, remember that days do not erase what the heavens have inscribed.
The word that caused pain will be questioned.
The situation that brought tears will be questioned.
The heart whose wings you broke, yet you continued on, will be questioned about you one day when only truth will remain between you.
Be anything, but do not be the cause of a scar that never heals.
Beware of underestimating pain you have not tasted, tears you have not seen, or a heart that has not openly displayed its fractures out of respect for you.
Only God knows who wronged and who was wronged, who promised and who broke promises, who was sincere in affection and yet went away broken.
How beautiful it is if you leave this world with someone’s heart saying, “May God have mercy on him; he never hurt me.”
How terrifying it is if a broken heart comes before your Lord, testifying that you were the cause. Let us strive to leave in hearts an impression that pleases God, not a scar for which God will question us.
How beautiful it is to be a source of peace, not pain, and a pleasant memory, not a painful wound, in someone’s life.
Days may cause forgetfulness, but God does not forget.
