Saudi Arabia: Fines of up to 50,000 riyals, imprisonment, and deportation for expatriates who overstay their visas

The Saudi Ministry of Interior emphasized that a foreign national who fails to leave the Kingdom after the expiration of their entry visa is subject to a fine of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals, imprisonment for up to six months, and deportation.

In a statement relayed by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry called on the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions.
