Trump: Immediately reimpose naval blockade on Iran

Trump stated that the United States would assume responsibility for protecting the Strait of Hormuz, in exchange for a 20% surcharge on all shipments passing through it, clarifying that this fee is intended to cover the costs required to ensure security and safety in the maritime passage.

He added that the naval blockade would be limited to preventing Iranian ships and vessels belonging to its proxies from using the strait, while all other countries would retain their right of transit and use of the Strait of Hormuz.

Regarding Iran, Trump said there is a 90% chance that the new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is no longer alive, emphasizing that he sees no opportunity for Iran to rebuild its military capabilities.
