The Persevering

The masters of the future, change, excellence, and success have reaped the fruits of a journey dominated by personal perseverance, a supportive family environment, social and scientific factors, and effective time management and organization, all in harmony with their ambitions and aspirations, thereby inaugurating a new phase toward a promising scientific and professional future.

His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him, crowned the joy of the outstanding high school graduates of the 2025-2026 academic year with sincere congratulations and best wishes, in his capacity as the father of all and the leader. He extended his congratulations to his sons and daughters among Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti students, in recognition of their harvest of perseverance, dedication, and focus on excellence and success, and their pursuit of knowledge and science from their true sources, not from the scribbles of social media, nor from unscientific exaggerations, nor from the noise of loud voices and the clamor of illusions, in presenting an unprecedented achievement.

Despite the skirmishes, misguided efforts, legitimate questions, and noise from various corners, as well as unwise statements that accompanied the academic year, the spirit of perseverance among students did not stagnate. Those atmospheres did not diminish their resolve or dampen the morale of their parents. Instead, they continued their path toward excellence and creativity until they reaped the fruits of their efforts.

The master of success... is perseverance, not the noise of illusions, nor the reduction of the reasons for excellence and success to the recycling of baseless narratives and the weaving of stories that feed ego inflation rather than addressing it or retracting from it, and acknowledging the imbalance in intellectual and ethical judgment that may mar them.

Indeed, the past academic year exhausted us with the harshness of vague statements, hasty tales, and legitimate questions. However, the persevering defied difficulties, kept pace with educational challenges, unraveled the ambiguity of curricula and academic equations, and dealt with the mix of old and new curricula. Meanwhile, the pride and honor went to teachers and educators, without the noise of manufacturing success or claiming a monopoly on excellence and change; because they know that true success is the fruit of perseverance, not the noise of illusions.

As for successful academics who are dedicated to their work and mission, they are not concerned with the flashiness of titles or the echo of slogans, nor do they know the language of favors and indebtedness; because they are confident in their knowledge and work, and proud of the success of the persevering, and they do not seek to register success under names other than its rightful owners.

Those who walk steadily and work are not tempted by the echoes of selfishness, do not surrender to narcissism, and are not overwhelmed by personal arrogance.

They do not write about themselves, nor do they hire paid individuals to inflate and glorify their selves, or to market illusions woven from imagination, by printing books prematurely, before the event is complete and its results are announced.

Welcome, all of you, to the field of creating new successes. And welcome to your peers among the students who were not fortunate enough to achieve excellence this year; for opportunities for success do not begin or end with the high school diploma, nor do they stop afterward. Rather, the doors of scientific excellence and professional success remain open to everyone who believes in perseverance, continues to strive and exert effort, and turns challenges into opportunities and temporary failures into stations of success.
