'Justice': Record rise in electronic advertisements in criminal cases

- 27,600 notices issued in one month... compared to just 12 notices during the same period last year

The Deputy Minister of Justice, Awatif Al-Sand, announced that the Ministry’s indicators showed a record high in the number of electronic notices in criminal cases, marking a shift that reflects the actual transition to an electronic notice system in criminal procedures.

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, Al-Sand stated that the total number of electronic notices in criminal cases from June 7 to July 9 reached approximately 27,665, compared to just 12 notices during the same period in 2025.

She clarified that the statistics included 23,710 notices for criminal orders and 3,955 notices for criminal judgments, underscoring the expanded use of electronic systems in this area following the launch of the electronic criminal orders project and the development of the judicial notices system.

Al-Sand emphasized that the Ministry of Justice continues to complete its digital projects aimed at streamlining procedures and accelerating the delivery of notices to interested parties, thereby contributing to faster case resolution and improved service quality for litigants.

It is worth noting that the new electronic notice system accounted for 94 percent of all judicial notices within one month of the Ministry of Justice launching the new system, as part of its plan to digitize the judicial system, enhance digital transformation, and deliver more efficient, faster, and reliable judicial services.
