'Ministry of Interior': Citizen arrested with drugs for personal use and barter for indecent acts

The General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, represented by the Department for Combating Human Trafficking and Negative Phenomena, succeeded in arresting a Kuwaiti national working as a dentist, on charges of possessing narcotics and psychoactive substances for personal use and exchanging them for acts contrary to public morals. This operation is part of the Criminal Security Sector’s efforts to apprehend violators and lawbreakers and combat negative phenomena.

The ministry added that, following intensified surveillance and monitoring, a well-planned ambush was set, resulting in the arrest of the suspect caught in the act inside one of the rented rooms. Police found in his possession two bags containing pieces of cannabis, three bags containing methamphetamine (shabu), 10 capsules of Lyrica, along with a bag containing powdered narcotics and drug-use paraphernalia.

The ministry stated that, after obtaining authorization from the Public Prosecution, the suspect’s residence was searched, where additional quantities of narcotics were seized from his cabinet. These included a plastic container holding methamphetamine, 46 tablets of Captagon, three pieces of cannabis, and a quantity of various psychoactive pills.
