Passenger miraculously survives after airplane window detaches mid-flight

A passenger survived by a miracle after being partially sucked out through a window that detached during flight, before other passengers managed to pull him back into the cabin in the final moments, in an incident that sparked panic aboard a Ryanair flight.

The 61-year-old passenger suffered injuries to his neck and shoulder, as well as burns caused by friction, after one of the plane’s windows detached shortly after takeoff from Thessaloniki, Greece, bound for Memmingen near Munich, Germany.

Ryanair stated that the aircraft, operated by its subsidiary Malta Air, returned to Thessaloniki airport shortly after takeoff following the detachment of a window during flight.
