Manchester City signs promising English winger Jeremy Munga on a contract until 2031
Manchester City continued its investment in emerging talent by announcing on Saturday the signing of young English winger Jeremy Munga from Leicester City on a contract that runs until 2031.
According to media reports, the deal was worth around £10 million, equivalent to $13 million, including additional incentives and bonuses.
Munga, who has just turned 17, expressed his happiness at moving to the English Premier League champions, stating that Manchester City’s interest in him made him immediately realize that joining the club was the right choice for his career.
Munga is considered one of the most prominent young talents in English football, representing England at the under-19 level. He also became the second-youngest player to appear in the Premier League when he made his debut for Leicester City’s first team last year.
The young winger featured in 37 matches across all competitions for Leicester City during the previous season, including seven appearances in the Premier League.
