Sisi Honors Egypt's National Team After World Cup Participation: "You Honored the Nation Before the World"

The official spokesperson for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the President awarded the national team players and members of the technical and administrative staff the Merit Cup and honorary medals in recognition of their heroic performance and the technical level they demonstrated during the tournament, as well as the determination, resolve, and discipline they displayed.

He clarified that sport is not measured solely by winning and losing, but by the respect and appreciation that performances inspire, emphasizing that the national team succeeded in bringing joy to the hearts of Egyptians and presented a model of an organized team that gives its utmost effort with sincerity.

The President affirmed that Egypt possesses numerous football talents capable of achieving success, calling for intensified efforts to discover young talent through specialized scouts, and reiterating the state’s readiness to support sports talents and provide them with opportunities, alongside supporting the national technical staff.

Sisi concluded his speech by stressing the importance of continuing hard work, maintaining fighting spirit, and building new generations of players to build upon the achievements already attained.

The meeting concluded with the President having lunch with the national team players and members of the technical and administrative staff, during which he listened to several players who expressed their appreciation for this honor, affirming their commitment to continue working to achieve further successes in the coming stages.
