Al-Ajiri Al-Ilmi: Astronomical midsummer begins on July 16
The Al-Ajiri Science Center announced that the astronomical start of mid-summer will occur on July 16, coinciding with the entry into the second phase of the lunar mansions known as Al-Jawza, which lasts 13 days. This period marks the gradual decline in daylight hours, alongside intensifying solar heat and the “Bahoura of Summer” phenomenon.
The center clarified that the Kuwaiti sky will witness the conjunction of the Moon with Saturn on July 16, followed by its conjunction with Venus on July 17. The month will conclude with the full moon on July 29, globally known as the “Deer Moon.”
