Minister of Education Discusses with Kuwait's Permanent Delegate to UNESCO Several Priority Files in the Fields of Education and Culture

Minister of Education, Engineer Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaee, met yesterday, Friday, with Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Dr. Ali Al-Mutawa, at the Permanent Delegation’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by the official accompanying delegation, which included Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Engineer Hamad Al-Hamad; Acting Director of the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Adari Al-Qallaf; Acting Head of the UNESCO Section at the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Shahd Mutar; and Director of the Public Relations and Educational Media Department, Arwa Al-Ayyar.

During the meeting, Minister Al-Tabtabaee discussed several priority files in the fields of education and culture, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between Kuwait and UNESCO.

He also received a briefing on the mechanisms for following up on Kuwait’s files with the organization, and the role played by the Permanent Representative’s office in representing the state and strengthening its presence in the organization’s programs and committees, thereby contributing to supporting national interests and expanding the scope of international cooperation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Kuwait’s Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, and enhancing the partnership with the organization, in order to support efforts to develop the educational system, benefit from international expertise and experiences, and align with the State of Kuwait’s directions to elevate the education sector and strengthen its presence at both the regional and international levels.
