Libya condemns Iranian attacks on Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain
It stressed the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states and staying away from anything that exacerbates tensions in the region.
Libya today, Friday, condemned the Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, reaffirming its full solidarity with them in the face of this aggression. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government of National Unity stated in a press release that “these acts threaten the security of these three countries and exacerbate the state of tension in the region,” reiterating Libya’s complete solidarity with the sister countries and its firm rejection of all actions that undermine their security and sovereignty or endanger the lives of civilians and vital facilities.
The statement considered that such attacks have a negative impact on regional security and peace, emphasizing the need to respect the sovereignty of states and to avoid any measures that heighten tensions in the region.
In this regard, it called on all parties to exercise the utmost restraint, prioritize dialogue, work to de-escalate tensions, and enhance regional security and stability, thereby safeguarding the interests of the peoples of the region and preserving international peace and security.
