In line with the Ministry of Education’s commitment to entrenching a culture of excellence and creativity in the educational field, reinforcing values of giving and professional distinction, and recognizing the pivotal role played by teachers in fulfilling their noble educational mission and their active contributions to shaping generations and building society, the Ministry of Education has announced the opening of the nomination window for honors on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, alongside honoring outstanding schools for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The Ministry clarified that Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Engineer Hamad Al-Hamad, issued a circular regarding the opening of the nomination window for honors on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day and the recognition of outstanding schools, based on Ministerial Decision No. (121) issued on June 23, 2026, concerning the amendment of nomination conditions and criteria for honors. The circular specified the number of nominees as 100 teachers and 50 outstanding schools within the Educational Affairs sector.
The Ministry explained that evaluation criteria and the scoring mechanism will be announced through an operational guide published on the Ministry’s website, clarifying the conditions, regulations, and standards governing the nomination and evaluation process, and ensuring transparency of procedures for all applicants.
It confirmed that the receipt of nomination applications will begin on Sunday, November 8, 2026, and continue until Saturday, November 14, 2026, urging teachers and schools wishing to nominate themselves to complete all requirements and necessary documents in accordance with the conditions, regulations, and standards specified in the decision.
The Ministry noted that nomination applications will be submitted electronically through the Ministry of Education’s official website via the “Ya” platform, dedicated to nominations for the categories of Outstanding Teacher and Outstanding Schools.
The Ministry of Education emphasized the necessity of ensuring that all data and requirements for nomination are fulfilled within the specified timeframe, clarifying that no applications submitted after the end of the nomination period will be considered.
The Ministry concluded by affirming that this initiative comes in appreciation of the sincere efforts made by workers in the educational field, and with a view to highlighting exemplary educational models and motivating educational staff and institutions to continue giving and improving performance levels, thereby contributing to supporting the quality of the educational process and achieving its objectives.
