The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has revealed the creation of numerous underground cities and missile and drone production sites, enabling the continued production and development of weapons during wartime.

The IRGC announced the establishment of underground cities for missile production, ensuring that manufacturing continues even during war. In a separate development, it revealed that it had shot down 260 enemy aircraft in the recent conflict.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday to mark the IRGC’s “Aviation and Space Week,” IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Makki stated that Iran had built underground cities and facilities for missile production, allowing for the uninterrupted production and development of weapons even during war.

Makki said, “We were able to quickly shift missile and drone production from above ground to underground. Just as we previously had missile cities for storing missiles and keeping them in a state of readiness, we have now created underground cities for missile production.”

He added that Iran would not allow the enemy to prevent it from producing and developing weapons “for even a single moment,” noting that Tehran had developed flexibility that enabled it to move missile production lines underground, ensuring the continued production of missiles and drones even during war and bombardment.

He pointed out that a missile city and several other significant achievements would be unveiled during this week, emphasizing that the localization of aerospace technologies was among the most prominent accomplishments. He stressed that Iran had transformed from an importer of weapons into a producer and exporter.

The spokesperson revealed that the IRGC Air Force had shot down more than 260 enemy aircraft during the recent war that erupted last February. He also stated that over the past two weeks, the IRGC had shot down and taken control of seven American MQM-170 reconnaissance drones.
