The Israeli occupation army continued on Saturday its operations of shelling, demolition, and clearance in southern Lebanese towns, amid its ongoing war since March last year.
The National News Agency reported that the Israeli army carried out a demolition operation in the town of Bani Hayan in the morning, and conducted a clearance operation in the southern town of Khiam. It also carried out an explosion in the southern town of Al-Qantara at dawn.
The agency clarified that Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of Wadi Al-Hajar in southern Lebanon at dawn.
In the same context, the Israeli army targeted a house in the town of Aita Al-Shaab in southern Lebanon with an artillery shell, coinciding with a clearance operation using machine guns in the area.
Israel has continued its war on Lebanon since March 2 last year, during which Israeli forces occupied several towns in southern Lebanon.
A ceasefire was announced on June 20 last year, after which the frequency of Israeli targeting of southern Lebanon decreased.
