Palestinian Civil Defense teams, in coordination with forensic experts, have recovered the remains of 13 martyrs from beneath the rubble of the Dalloul family home in the Salah al-Din Street area of Deir al-Balah city.
The Civil Defense stated that search and recovery operations are ongoing in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross.
According to the same source, the home was targeted by the Israeli occupation army on October 17, 2023, while approximately 30 people, mostly women and children, were inside, resulting in the deaths of most of those present.
The Civil Defense noted that at the time, only one person was rescued alive and another was found dead, while the rest of the victims remained trapped under the rubble.
In a statement, it said the remains recovered on Tuesday were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, in preparation for identification by their relatives and subsequent handover in accordance with standard procedures for burial.
The Civil Defense confirmed that approximately 22 people are still listed as missing under the rubble. Search and recovery operations are scheduled to resume on Wednesday in the same area, near Salah al-Din Street and Bahouli land, in the vicinity of the Kissufim area, to locate the remains of the other victims.
