U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States might have to strike the “Mount Axe” site, dismissing the notion that such an action would be a major issue.
He added: “We can do it, and literally, we can accomplish it within one hour.”
The “Mount Axe” site houses a fortified tunnel complex located deep underground, approximately two kilometers south of Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility.
When the project began in 2020, Tehran announced that it was intended for the assembly of centrifuges, although the nature of activities inside remains unconfirmed independently.
