(KUNA) – The Ministry of Education announced on Sunday the resumption of operations for evening school clubs for the 2026–2027 academic year, effective November 8, in line with directives from Minister Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabai regarding the restart of these clubs and the activation of their role in providing an educational environment that motivates students to develop skills across various fields.

In a press statement, the Ministry clarified that registration for those wishing to work in evening school clubs will be open via the dedicated electronic registration platform from today until November 5.

It noted that this initiative aims to attract qualified educational professionals and leverage their expertise to deliver high-quality activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and enhancing their creative, practical, and sports abilities through diverse programs implemented in an organized and motivating educational environment, thereby supporting the holistic development of learners.

The statement added that registration covers specialized evening school clubs for boys and girls across a range of disciplines, including sports clubs for football, handball, basketball, and bowling, for physical education teachers according to their chosen sport specialty.

It further specified that other specialties include robotics clubs for computer science teachers, practical studies and industrial applications clubs for practical studies teachers, debate clubs for Arabic language teachers, as well as scouting education clubs for educational guides and scouting leaders.

The Ministry emphasized that applicants must currently be on duty at the Ministry of Education, have at least two years of experience calculated from the date of their last appointment with the Ministry, and must not have received any legal penalties in the preceding two years unless legally expunged. Additionally, they must have received an “excellent” performance evaluation over the last two years, hold a job specialty compatible with the nature of the club they wish to join, and pass the personal interview conducted by the relevant Technical Guidance Administration.

The Ministry called on all eligible candidates who meet the conditions and regulations to register via the electronic platform within the specified period and to take advantage of this educational opportunity to contribute to developing students’ skills and refining their talents, thereby strengthening the school’s role in nurturing learners’ energies and directing them toward fields of creativity and excellence, while reinforcing the concept of comprehensive education whose impact extends beyond the school day.
