The Arab Hospitals Federation announced via its official channels that Kuwait’s Undersecretary of Health, Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, and the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Salam Hospitals, Dr. Ayman Al-Mutawa, have been selected among a list of 35 influential leaders and figures in the healthcare sector across the Arab world for 2026.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the Ministry of Health stated that the selection of the two Kuwaiti names was in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the health sector under the “Federation Leaders” initiative, launched by the Arab Hospitals Federation to honor leaders. The initiative’s continuous efforts have contributed to a tangible impact on healthcare, enhanced institutional performance, elevated standards, and supported work teams.
The statement quoted the federation, via its official accounts, saying that the selection reflects its ongoing monitoring of the health sector in the region and its institutional review through a jury committee affiliated with its executive board, drawing on its 26 years of experience in tracking the development of healthcare institutions and their leadership.
It added that the initiative does not rely on application submissions, general nominations, or fees, and that details of the award ceremony will be announced later.
