Qatar LNG Company, known as “Qatargas,” announced that its liquefied natural gas carrier, the “Al Maydah,” was attacked by unidentified objects while sailing in the Arabian Gulf on Friday evening.
The Qatar News Agency reported on Sunday, citing a company statement, that no crew members were injured and the incident had no environmental impact.
The company clarified that the vessel is in a safe condition and fully capable of maneuvering, adding that relevant authorities are assessing the consequences of the incident.
It further confirmed that it is maintaining direct coordination with the ship, its crew, and maritime security authorities in the region to ensure the safety of the crew, while closely monitoring developments in the situation.
