Interior Minister: Providing necessary facilitations for Saudi Super Cup fans - Sarmad

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef conducted an inspection tour of the Salima and Abdali border crossings and 19 northern border checkpoints, accompanied by a number of security leaders from the Ministries of Defense and Interior.

During his visit to the northern border checkpoints, Sheikh Al-Yousef conveyed greetings from the highest political leadership to the personnel stationed there, expressing their deep appreciation for their sincere efforts, dedication to fulfilling their national duty, and the responsibilities they shoulder in safeguarding Kuwait’s security and protecting its borders. He also inspected the operations room and reviewed the level of readiness, commending the sense of responsibility, discipline, and vigilance displayed by the staff. He praised their continuous contributions, which embody loyalty to the nation and fidelity in discharging their trust.

He emphasized that safeguarding Kuwait’s borders is a national trust that demands constant vigilance and maintaining the highest levels of readiness. He affirmed his confidence in his personnel’s ability to bear responsibility and continue performing their duties, while enhancing coordination and integration between military and security agencies to preserve the country’s security and stability.

At the Salima crossing, he monitored the progress of construction, development, and preparation works underway to welcome crowds attending the Saudi Super Cup matches hosted by Kuwait, directing that the completion of these works be followed up and that coordination among relevant entities be strengthened to finalize all necessary preparations.

At the Abdali crossing, he reviewed the progress of construction and development works and assessed the level of security readiness, ensuring that development efforts are fully integrated with the requirements for securing the crossing, enhancing operational efficiency, and guaranteeing smooth entry and exit flows, while adhering to established security procedures.

He stressed that land crossings represent Kuwait’s primary face to the outside world, and that welcoming guests is a shared responsibility. He emphasized the necessity of ensuring facility readiness and expediting procedures, adding services and amenities that meet travelers’ needs and provide comfort, alongside providing necessary facilitations for Saudi Super Cup fans, thereby reflecting Kuwait’s generosity and hospitality.
