The Ministry of Justice announced a need to fill the position of “Junior Legal Researcher” for both male and female Kuwaiti nationals who are eligible for the position of Deputy Public Prosecutor (Grade C), as part of efforts to attract and prepare national talents for work in the judicial corps.
In its announcement, the Ministry specified several conditions that applicants must meet, the most prominent of which are: being a Kuwaiti national, holding a law degree from Kuwait University or an equivalent accredited qualification recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, and having graduated in the 2025-2026 academic year only. The minimum cumulative grade point average must be 2.67 out of 4.0, or an equivalent of 80 percent according to the grading system used in other institutions.
The Ministry also stipulated that applicants must not exceed 26 years of age at the time of obtaining their university degree. Additionally, they must not have previously applied for this position, nor have worked under their university degree with any government entity or in the private sector, nor be registered with the Public Institution for Social Security.
Other conditions include having a good reputation and conduct, with no prior disciplinary or criminal convictions for offenses involving moral turpitude, breach of trust, or crimes affecting good behavior, and meeting the medical fitness requirements for the position.
The Ministry clarified that passing the written exam and personal interview conducted by the selection committee is a mandatory requirement for acceptance. Successful candidates will be appointed to the civil public service cadre as “Junior Legal Researchers,” entitled to the prescribed financial benefits and allowances, and will undergo a training course at the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies, in accordance with relevant regulations and decisions, in preparation for assuming the role of Deputy Public Prosecutor (Grade C) upon successful completion of the training.
