Jordanian Army foils armed group's attempt to 'infiltrate' from Syria - Sarmad

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced on Saturday that a border guard unit under the Northern Military Zone foiled an infiltration attempt on Friday evening by an armed group of approximately 14 individuals coming from Syria.

The Armed Forces added that “the group attempted to infiltrate under heavy cover of fire and direct engagement with our forces. Jordanian border guards responded immediately and resolutely, in accordance with established rules of engagement, resulting in significant casualties among the armed group, while the remaining members fled toward deeper Syrian territory.”
