The Royal Jordanian Air Force carried out a targeted operation today, Monday, against terrorist hideouts in southern Syria, codenamed “Jordanian Deterrence – Hamoud.”
In a statement, the Jordanian Army said the operation was in retaliation for the martyrs who were killed in the Hamoud church funeral in Karak last Friday, noting that the terrorists responsible for this criminal act are linked to these terrorist organizations.
Royal Jordanian Air Force fighter jets destroyed several terrorist sites, resulting in the killing and wounding of numerous members of these organizations and the destruction of some of their vehicles.
The Jordanian Armed Forces affirmed that they remain on high alert against anyone who dares to threaten the security of citizens, and emphasized their resolve to continue eradicating the roots of extremism and terrorism, as they fulfill their sacred duty to protect the nation, its citizens, and its sanctuaries.
The statement concluded: “May God have mercy on the martyrs of Karak, and may He preserve Jordan as a proud and impregnable nation.”
