King Abdullah II said on Monday that terrorists and anyone harboring divisive ideologies that pit Jordanians against one another will not escape punishment, following the arrest of the perpetrators of the attack on the Hamoud Church in the Karak Governorate in the south of the country.
In a post on the X platform, the King wrote: “The Nushama have pursued them to their lairs.”
He added: “We said that terrorists would not escape punishment, nor would anyone with a divisive mindset that sets one Jordanian against another.”
He continued: “May God have mercy on the martyrs, heal the injured, and protect our homeland and people from all evil and harm.”
The King’s post came after the General Directorate of Public Security announced on Monday the arrest of the three attackers, following an armed clash that left all of them injured, with no casualties among the security forces.
