The Kuwait Municipality announced on Saturday the intensification of its supervisory role through field inspection campaigns across all governorates in the country on multiple fronts.
Mohammed Al-Sandan, Director of the Public Relations Department and official spokesperson for the Municipality, confirmed that the special campaigns would cover safety, hygiene, construction, service licenses for various activities, and all types of advertisements, in accordance with municipal regulations and systems.
Al-Sandan explained that the Safety Management Department teams pay close attention to monitoring security and safety at restoration and construction sites, and to curbing the dumping of debris.
He added that the teams would take necessary action against non-compliant contractors, alongside inspecting grilling sites under various contracts to ensure compliance with their requirements. He noted that supervisory teams are intensifying their oversight of road obstructions by removing marine boats from squares, public squares, and parking areas in service, craft, industrial, and commercial investment zones.
He stated that violators of the road occupation regulations would be required to park their boats in designated and permitted areas for boats, while general hygiene teams would monitor cleanliness levels in high-density areas to reduce violations of the hygiene regulations.
Al-Sandan said that municipal service audit and follow-up teams would continue their supervisory work by monitoring public markets, including wholesale and retail markets, as well as inspecting health licenses for establishments across all types of activities.
He praised the effective supervisory role of national engineering cadres through engineering audits and follow-up on construction and development works, applying the building code according to its various schedules based on usage, whether for private residential, model residential, service, investment, commercial, industrial, or craft purposes.
