The Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of Emergency Police, carried out a security campaign covering all governorates of the country, as part of its ongoing field efforts to enhance security presence and apprehend wanted individuals and violators, thereby contributing to maintaining security and raising the standards of security and traffic discipline.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Interior said the campaign resulted in the apprehension of four individuals in possession of narcotics, one person in possession of intoxicants, two individuals in abnormal conditions, two wanted for criminal offenses, and 125 wanted for security reasons.
It further clarified that 25 individuals without identity documents were apprehended, eight vehicles wanted by the judiciary were seized, and 13 abandoned vehicles were removed in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality, in addition to the impoundment of 23 vehicles for traffic violations.
The Ministry noted that the total number of security and traffic measures taken during the campaign amounted to 203, affirming that the necessary legal procedures were taken against those apprehended and they were referred to the competent authorities.
